Venue
Sandton is a major business area within Johannesburg. The
Sandton Convention Centre (SCC) is located in the heart of
Sandton' s hotel, business and entertainment district. The SCC offers easy
access to more than 5000 hotel rooms (ranging from economy to deluxe) is
adjacent to some of the country's premium shopping and entertainment complexes
- Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square - and has secure parking.
The SCC's central position in Sandton ensures easy access to OR
Tambo International Airport and the Sandton business district. With its sound
infrastructure and services network, leisure and conference-related activities
can be planned with ease.

Information Desk at SCC
An Information desk will be located in the SCC and will supply the
following services:

Information on tours and accommodation;

Schedule of shuttle bus transfers to and from the SCC; and

Visitor information on Gauteng and South Africa.
Message System for Delegates
A message board will be made available to delegates at the
Information Desk situated at SCC.
Lost Property
Any items that are found at the SCC are stored in the SCC's
Security Office and recorded in a Lost Property Book. Delegates are to enquire
at the SCC's Information Desk if have lost any property at the venue.
First Aid and Medical
A professional medical service will be provided. South Africa's
National Department of Health will be on site during the period of the
conference in the event of an emergency.
Electricity and Adaptors
Electricity in the venue will be 220/240 volts, 50Hz is supplied
through 3 pin 15 amp plugs. Hotels will advise delegates on where to purchase
the adaptors and converters should they be required.
Non-smoking Rules
The SCC is a non-smoking venue. Guests may smoke on the designated
balconies and terraces.
Internet Café
An Internet Café will be available for the duration of the GFV. A printing
facility will also be available for delegates to print out any pages or
information they require. Technical support will be available from 07h00 to
18h00.
